For frequent travellers looking to take advantage of Air Miles schemes, a new solution has come to the UK, designed to save time and maximise rewards.
Points-savvy travellers can now bank rewards across 38 airline and loyalty schemes via one accommodation booking site thanks to the Agoda PointsMAX programme.
Rewards can be significant, the company claims, with hotels offering up to 6,000 points per stay. For example, a return economy flight, from London Heathrow to New York JFK at a cost of £800 could earn you 3,500 Avios points. But stay overnight on the way at a 3-star hotel and you could boost your earning by 1,500 – or 40 per cent, for a £105 night booking.
With Brits expected to fork out on three holidays in 2017, spending an average of £1,418 on their main holiday and £514 on two mini breaks, there seems to be good reason to get in on the action and maximise the way we bank travel points that won’t be affected by the fluctuating exchange rate or weak pound!
Agoda is a major global player in travel bookings, offering over one million accommodation options around the world. The PointsMAX programme, which is free to join, offers travellers the opportunity to collect miles from the likes of American Airlines AAdvantage, Flying Blue and British Airways Executive Club, by booking accommodation through their site.
